Boozin’ It Up 12/5-12/7 coming ASAP

Sooo actually on the topic of trips to the Land... what's everyone's opinions on lockers? We've never used one but I'm thinking it would be a good idea. It would be nice to have ponchos, sweatshirts, hats, etc readily available for any change in weather, but we don't want to have to carry a bunch of stuff around all the time. There's a locker place off of main street right?

I always, always, always get a locker. Sometimes I just don't have everything with me that I need and it's just too much to take that hike back to the hotel. I think it's worth it, in the scheme of what else you spend money on while you are there. Plus it means I can take my tripod into the park in the morning and not have to worry about it until I need it at night, lol. Or if I'd like to get ride of the heavy camera for a short while.

And yup, there is a locker place in the middle of Main Street - right across the way from the Carnation Cafe in that little 'side street'.

Ironic, I have never used one either but I was thinking I really wanted to rent one this year. I don't like hauling everything around. At least when we go it shouldn't be cold so I don't have to worry about hauling jackets around but then you never know.

It's the side street right next the Market Place. Lost and found is back there.

Awesome glad you think it's useful. What size do you usually rent out? If we have any purchases during the day, we'd want to stash them in there too.

I don't know WHY we haven't used one before. In March it can definitely be chilly in the mornings and very cold at nights. Afternoons always seem to be iffy. You could have warm parts, or chilly parts. So it would be really nice to have somewhere to stash stuff when we don't need it. Last year I hated the idea of carrying around ponchos, but the weather did call for rain. I hauled those ponchos around but it never rained. I'm sure if I hadn't had them, it would have rained though. So again, would be great to have them available but not have to carry them.

That's where I thought they were. I wish our first day wasn't a MM day. I like when they let everyone in 30 min. before park opening so that we can mull around Main Street for a while(and get locker stuff sorted out). Have they ever let people in early on a MM day to wait for rope drop??

It depends. If I'm bringing my tripod I don't have a choice and have to go for the large because it's the only one that will fit. I'll also get a large if I know beforehand that I'll be buying larger items. The good thing about all of the lockers is that they are deeper than I would have thought before using one. So the small is usually large enough for the spare things I bring plus basic purchases.

It's never happened when I've been there, because they've always done that countdown to "let the magic begin" and then you're off.

I think a small should work for us, but I don't want to have to spend time trying to shove anything in there. I can only imagine.

That countdown is kinda corny. I just hate the idea of getting caught up in a locker scuffle and not being able to head off to peter pan first thing. I guess it won't kill me though.

Geez this has been a quick year. Are you gonna booze it up again?

SO QUICK. I just... honestly don't know how to explain. BAFFLED.

I don't have plans of ANY boozing! Maybe a DCA lemon-lime margarita. Those are really tasty.

We are gonna go to the Rain Forest Cafe for a meal and I was thinking that I am going to try having one of their fancy drinks just for fun.:goodvibes
