BOOT Camp Graduation 2morrow!

Well, she did it! She made it through boot camp! I got the call last Friday that she is a SAILOR! I'm so proud of her! We are heading up to Great Lakes in the morning to see her graduate. She will have the day with us and then she heads off to Mississippi for her A School.

I'm just soooo PROUD! I wanted to share!

oh I remember seeing all the proud parents in the bleachers.... then when it was over everyone was reunited with the familys. It was soooo nice to see my family proud of me! CONGRATS to your daughter

I just found out today that I am ineligible for the Air Force. I don't weigh enough for my height (4'11") apparently. I'd have to gain seven pounds; that would put me at 94 pounds and I've never been over 90 pounds in my life (I'm 23).

PS: Don't worry, I do not have an eating disorder and I'm perfectly healthy, just tiny.

Congratulations on her graduation. My brother went through Great Lakes too, and went on to have a great career in the Navy and later in civilian life.

And props go out to you for supporting her. I know it's not easy to see your baby go of to the armed forces, but you're just a much a sailor as she is. Anchors aweigh!
