booster seat requirements...

From what I've read, I won't necessarily need one..

My daughter is going to be 8 in March when we fly into MCO. At the moment she's 71 lbs.

We are renting a car for our first 3 days, and I started looking into the booster seat thing. Here in Canada, she uses one.

The prices they charge for them are astronomical!! WOW!

So I had thought we would stop at the Walmart, buy one for $15. and just leave it when we depart.

But, I may not have to at all.....anyone experienced with this issue in FL???

Does she use a high back or low back booster? If low back you should be able to carry it on the plane as one of you carry on and store it above your seat.

Florida doesn't have a booster seat law if that is what your asking. They only require children be in a carseat through the age of 4. Children 4 and over must be in the backseat and wear a seatbelt.

So if you would prefer to use a booster driving to walmart is a good option.

Not sure about Candaian airlines but you can also check your seat for no fee in US carriers as well as carry on a low back booster as a pp mentioned.
