Bookworms, what are you reading?

I needed something light so Lynn Kurland is the best for that...I just love her books! The More I See YOu is the name of it.

For Fun: Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason (Sequel to the first)

For School: Missiles in Cuba
The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down
American Colonies
The American Revolution
The WOrld Turned Upside Down

Right now I am reading Safe Harbour by Danielle Steel. Its real good.

I am reading The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan. I've also read Girl, Interrupted and The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing over the fast few weeks. (Hey, they were cheap)
daughter_of_amid_chaos , Helen Fielding's other book, Cause Celeb, is also a good read.

i just finished reading Mystic River by Dennis Lehane for the second time. wonderful book. i loved it, considering i usually don't enjoy murder mystery novels.

i am reading To Kill a Mickingbird for school. i know it's a classic, but i just can't seem to get into it. we're only on the seventh chapter, but i haven't been enjoying it terribly. maybe i'm just odd. no surprise there.

I am also reading the "Mates, Dates, and..." series. i'm currently on the second one "Mates, Dates, and Cosmic Kisses." it's a funny, light read--a huge change from mystic river. but it's good to read light and fluffy once and a while. i'm planning on reading the DaVinci Code soon.

Am finishing up an Ann Rule collection. Also recently read, The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands by Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner (my 4th grader had to read it). I cried over Stone Fox.

I'm reading The Evolution of Useful Things by Henry Petroski. It's a little academic, but very interesting.

I just finished Cause Celeb and it's very good! I found it at B&N for $2.97 for the hardcover so I didn't expect much, but it's a good read. :D

I am finishing up on "The Da Vinci Code" right now.

Then I'm going to read "Wicked".

I'm currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. I've read it before, but it's one of my favorites, so I have to reread it every few years!

I just finished The Other Woman by Eric Jerome Dickey, it was really good. I'm still reading "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2004

I'm about half way through Karen Hughes' autobiography "Ten Minutes from Normal."

I just finished Eragon. Excellent book. The author is only 19 years old. He is working on the next book of the trilogy.

Right now I am reading "Johnny Angel" by Danielle Steele. It is a very quick read too, so I should be done by tonight and then I am starting "You'll Never Nanny In This Town Again"

:)

Glorious Appearing . I keep putting it down so I wont finish it as fast as I finished the others:D

Guardian of the Horizon by Elizabeth Peters. The main character is Amelia Peabody and is a series. I just love these books!!!

Happily Ever After, a christian romance, by Susan May Warren.

I just read Glorious Appearing. It is the last book in the Left Behind series. I was quite disappointed in it. I thought it just dragged on and kept telling the same story about the people. It was just too much "junk" in it that bogged down the main story.

JMHO. :)

Oh, bummer. :( It was just donated at the library and brought in especially this evening for me. I was extremely excited to see it.

I'm just finishing up Anna Quindlan's Blessings. I've liked all her books, but this one is probably my favorite. Last week, I read Holes -- got to keep up with my 9-year-old. My book club is reading Nickeled and Dimed this month, the required reading for UNC-Chapel Hill freshmen last fall.
