booking with aaa questions

we are planning a 8 night stay in oct and were considering a package thru aaa with tix and the dining plan. i have a couple questions...
1. if i book the package with aaa and then i later find a code is available to me, can i apply it to my reservation?? (last year i booked online and then called to ask for an aaa discount to my room only resv and found out there was a code attached to my name--i saved big bucks!!!)
2. what is the deposit and cancellation policy with aaa packages??

i want to book now but i don't want to miss out on a possibility of saving again! thanks for any advice!!

2. The deposit is a percentage of the total payment, our deposit (paid at booking) was about a 1/3 of the price and our final payment for our trip in june is in april

you can just get a quote from them, if you are a AAA member and have created a login name you can ask for a quote there.

Yes, you can have a different code applied. You will just have to call your TA and tell them to do it, you can't do it on your own. The AAA discount is a discount code, so it would just be modifying the reservation with a different code. If you don't have insurance and want to apply a code within the 45 days before arrival, Disney can charge a change fee.

For a package, the deposit is $200 (no matter what the price of your package is) and the remainder is due 45 days prior to arrival.

Hi,

First timer to disney with a large family, so fnding all the discounts I can. How do you find out about these special codes. Are they posted on the website? Also, has anyone ever sent for the planning video? Its been a little over and week and I'm getting really anxious.

To find out about codes, the best place is to look here and at mousesavers.com. If there are codes that are available to the public, they will be discussed here. If you are a member of AAA then you can call one of their travel agents, or disney itself to ask about a AAA discount. They are almost always offered, but the number of rooms available may be limited. To get a package with a AAA discount, you must go through a AAA travel agent. Keep reading you will learn a lot.
