We have always flown indirect - to save money. But are wondering about flying Virgin from Manchester next time. Anyone recommend a website or travel agent to use?

why not book them online with Virgin - we have done this twice now and its really easy.

I can only tell you my experiances, but the LGW-MCO virgin flight comes out cheaper than MAN-MCO.

Have a look at both on the web site. I would also say book as early as possible to get the better prices.

It may well work out cheaper for the actual flights but by the time you have included the extra costs for travelling all the way down to Gatwick and the parking costs (these tend to be higher for Gatwick)the chances are you won't haved saved anything.

Try Funway holidays, we recently booked a Virgin flydrive with them and the price was good plus they had our dates when nobody else did. The service is great too. A REAL person answers the phone very quickly when you call!!!

Previously we have normally booked a Flydrive through Virgin Holidays as we get 10% off as Frequent Virgins.. It would be interesting to compare prices.

Call 0870 44 40 770 or check out www.funwayholidays.co.uk

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the replies. Not ready to book yet - as we have just got back! Also not sure when we'll be going back again. DS is 16 and doesn't want to go on holiday with us anymore!

My son said that to us the other week - I bet he wouldn't say no though if you asked him if he wanted to go. :) When I asked him at the weekend what he intended doing for his holidays then he just said that it was because he didn't want to do the same things. Anyway we will see I suppose. I've booked direct with Virgin online it has cost us more for the carhire then I could have got myself but I wanted to get it booked and have a target to save for and I wasn't sure that I would save much by leaving it. When we are not booking for a particular date I might very well just book the flights and car hire separate as a diy but I wanted to be sure and wasn't sure about risking the indirect flights.

My sister has just booked for Oct 06 (school hols) with MercuryTravel.net, for a fly drive including car insurance. They quoted 2250 for 2 adults, 1 teen and one child. The quote was £300.00 cheaper than booking on line with virgin.

I don't know how they do it, but, I also saved a similar amount for my holiday. I would recommend them. The lady's name I booked with was Phillipa.

Good luck.
