Thinking about doing a split stay between BLT and VB in a couple of years during the month of January. I'm a recent owner at BLT where I can reserve at the 11 month period but was wondering about VB. How hard is it to reserve a 2-BR at VB during the month of January at the 7 month period?

Thanks

Shouldn't be a problem. We've been able to book pretty much all the seasons without problem.

Just booked a 2 bedroom for August, at our 7month mark. No problems.

Couldn't speak to January but we were just able to get an OVIR there for 3 nights August 23-25. It will be our first time there and we are psyched to be able to vegge out on the beach for a few days before heading home!

I was able to get an ocean view room at 5 months for this January. The resort didn't seem too busy. The weather was too cool for swimming but great for walking the beach.

We have gone the last two summers for a few nights in a Ocean View Inn room and have had no problems getting the dates we needed. Enjoy, its a great resort:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the responses, this will be our first time at Vero Beach and am looking forward to it. Thought we would stay 4 nights at BLT and 3 nights at VB, just to get a feel of the resort. If we enjoy it than next time we will stay longer. My DH loves the beach.

Too bad I have to wait a couple of years, we usually head to Florida every January, but next year we decided to take a cruise out of New Jersey instead, so I'll have to wait till 2011 before heading back to WDW.

Thanks for asking this! We are thinking of a similar trip for fall 2010. We already have a week booked for this fall at AKV. But, would like to do something a little different next year and thought that sounded like the perfect thing. Go to WDW for 4 days and then relax at the beach for 3 days. We are looking forward to trying VB too!

You're have to report back after your trip to let us know how you enjoyed VB.

I reserved a garden view inn room and waitlisted for an ocean view. My wait list came through, but I didn't tell my husband. I want to surprise him. We are going Feb 8 - 13. Hope the weather is nice but either way - Vero Beach is a fantastic place to stay.
