How do I book two AP rate rooms online? Do I book one under my husband's AP and one under mine? Do I need to change the name to my parents' names before arriving or can I just let them know when we check in? How can I request that our rooms be connecting or close together? Is there a place when you book online to list requests?
I think it was much easier to call and do this over the phone with a CM!

Thanks for asking. I am wondering the exact same things. I need 2 rooms nearby or connecting and have no idea how to do this.

When we booked for Christmas we needed two rooms. A kind CM in CRO walked me through the booking process online because it was so new no one knew how to do it yet.

You can book each room with the same AP holder or with different AP holders. If you use the same AP holder you need to put that person's name on both reservations The name of the other person(s) in the room will be added/changed upon checkin. When you get to the final page there will be a spot to connect two reservation numbers. There is also a spot there to make requests. As a follow-up I was encouraged by this CM to do a followup phone call to CRO linking both reservations back to one another.

Hope that helps!

The easiest way would be to put one room in your name and one in your husband's with one of your parents in each room. Link the reservations in the "travel with" section. You can request rooms near each other or connecting.

A word of warning... if there is a chance that you will have to cancel one room or modify your plans, you may be looking at a mess. I booked three rooms on the old AP system, the ones you could book by phone. Originally, we had six adults and two children. Two adults had a change of plans due to medical problems and one adult was leaving early. So, we went from three rooms for six nights to two rooms for six nights and one room for two nights. I called Disney Reservations TWO TIMES to make sure we knew how this should be handled. Both times, I was told that everything was fine and the change would be handled at check in. (I even had the name of a higher-up from Guest Services who OK'd the plan.) So, we arrive at the hotel, told the lady at the front desk what I'd been told, and she basically told me that the person leaving early would have to pay for all six days, sorry-bout-yer-luck. When I mentioned that I had the name of a Guest Service person who OK'd the plan, she said without even looking at the name (and I quote) "It doesn't matter. I don't know them." We went around for about an hour trying to work it out. (My state defense attorney brother was about one inch from totally loosing it.) We finally just gave up and went to our rooms. About 10 minutes later, my room phone rang-- it was the resort manager (who we hadn't even asked for), who was very VERY sympathetic and apologized profusely. He asked us to come back to the front desk and after a bit, had the whole thing straightened out. Nobody had to pay any extra, thank goodness. It was, as I told the manager, how it should have been from the beginning.
So, the moral of the story is, if you need to make any changes, it helps if you completely cancel your vacation and start over. Trying to modify an existing reservation using the AP rate is a total disastser.
Other than the bumpy start, we had a fabulous vacation! Disney Magical Express worked like a dream, we were very impressed with them... the changed reservation didn't even phase them!

If doing this, just remember that the credit card paying the deposit must match the primary name on the ressie. If you were to use your name on one room & DH on another, remember to use his credit card for that room or they will not match. That is one of the reasons that I used my name on both.

Okay, now I have another type question. We will be traveling with family, and will need a total of 3 rooms. However, I will be arriving earlier and leaving later than they are. Can the rooms still be booked with my AP?

I've been putting off booking my roomd through the BRP because I need two rooms. It seems like a hassle. They should have allowed three rooms per AP or something. I have to use my mom's AP for one room and my Dad's for the other. My mom does not have a credit card in her name (my DD and DM use the same card!). It just all seems confusing to me.

I could be wrong, but I would think so (on at least 2 rooms). You will be there to check them in & you will be there after they leave. I am doing that. I booked for me 12/20-29 & my son 12/20-24. Both rooms are in my name with my credit card. Disney has not contacted me to tell me I can't do that. My sister has done the same for the same dates as well. No one contacted her either. They have our info & deposits for the ressies :confused3 I would think they would have told us we cannot do that by now... As far as 3 rooms, with all that they have changed, I don't know anymore if you can do 3. You use to be able to but I cannot say for sure now.

We needed to book two rooms for our Nov 2005 trip as we are traveling with friends of ours. I used www.mouseearvacations.com and they were able to book me two rooms at the BRP rate of $109 a night plus tax for a standard view room at POR. Dreams Unlimited was not able to so this for me so I switched over to MouseEarVacations.

Did DU tell you they weren't allowed to do it or did they try and were unable to? Was it difficult to switch over to MouseEarVacations? If my agent is unable to get this done, I may switch over. It is too much savings to just let it go.

I booked 3 rooms with my AP using the BR program. I had to book each one separately. I was told that I had to be there at check in and we can change the rooms into their names then. When you get towards the end of the booking prcess there is an area to link the reservations and say if you need connecting rooms or rooms nearby.

Great news. So, it appears that I can secure two more rooms using my AP. I don't mind being there when the other two families check in. Thanks for the info.

My agent at Your Magical Journeys was able to book me two rooms with the Best Rate Program for December. I can't wait!

What's the best way to get adjoining rooms through BRP booking? We're going to be travelling with some friends and will need one room for us and 2 adjoining rooms for them and their kids.

I know that I can book all 3 rooms under my (or my wife's) AP and we can change the names around at check-in, but we'd like to have some way to check ahead of time that ensure we're going to have the other two rooms adjoining? Previously you could have a CM put a note like that in your file. Should I just go ahead and book all 3 rooms, then call the resort itself once we hit the 15-day out mark, or is there a better way to set that up?

My DU agent said that he called and was told that it could not be done. I know this was not correct based on what people were posting and that he had probaly just gotten a CM that was not up to speed on the new process. He was not interested in trying again. Deb Wills site reconmends MouseEarVacations so I checked out there web site and sent them an email and was specific about what I needed and could it be done and they were able to and everything went smoothly. Once I had my confirm in hand from MouseEarVacations I emailed my DU agent asking him to cancel my reservation as I was able to get the two rooms I needed at the discounted rate through other means. My deposit was credited back to my credit card no problem.
