Booking today question....

I am planning on booking today. Last time I booked on gold/platinum day it took all day on hold with my travel agent. I would like to try and book directly with Disney. Am I correct that I will have 30 days to transfer reservation over to my travel agent?

As far as I know, yes. But it's likely whatever benefits the TA provides will be reduced.

And there is no guarantee you won't be on the phone all day with Disney... Could you not tell your travel agent what you want and have them book it then tell you the details? You could always cancel it...

I know I would not lose benefits as they are set. but they do keep you on hold while they make the calls. I realize I cannot mention who they are. Just making sure 30 day rule applies under these circumstances. I know it applies with a placeholder. I wanted to try a different strategy to see if I could get through quicker. I realize no guarantees

Probably too late to help you but...

We booked online and then had 30 days to transfer it to a TA, which we did. I find the online tool the easiest way to book, but it too has its problems.
