Booking through Orbiz and Magic bands

If I book room only through orbitz will I still get magic bands? I will not be purchasing my park tickets through orbitz. Any thoughts?

Yes. Use the Hotel Confirmation (not the Orbitz reference number; you are looking for a 6 digit number that may contain numbers and/or letters) to link the reservation to MDX and you can customize and order magic bands as usual. Make sure you change the shipping address for the bands to your own; it will default to Orbitz' corporate address in Chicago.

So no issues booking thru orbitz instead of Wdw directly? It will save me about $60 to do so but can I still make FP+ at 60 days? How do I link the orbitz park tickets to my MDE account?

When you link your Orbitz reservation to MDX it proceeds exactly as if you purchased the reservation through Disney.

I don't know about the tickets, I don't buy tickets from Orbitz. Obviously you won't be able to make any FP reservations until you have park tickets linked.

We are only getting 2 day base tickets. No 3rd party sellers discount them that I can find so I was just gonna get them from orbitz too

It is very easy to link Orbitz tickets to MDE, but it does take about 5 days to get the correct number. About 5 days after you purchase, if you log in to Orbitz and click on "my trips," you will find a Disney confirmation number for your tickets. You just put that number into MDE and your tickets will be linked.

No, nothing to be concerned about. I've used Orbitz and everything worked flawlessly. Received MBs about a month out, linked my tickets (bought from Disney), did FP+ at 60 days.

I think you do need to setup a profile with them. That was no big deal.

Just ONE more question, gonna buy tickets thru Disney (only 2 day base, nobody discounts them). They'll link to MDE right away yes? I'm going to select will call for method of delivery so no charge but do I actually need to pick them up? Won't they be on our magic bands? DD lives down there so she could stop by DTD and get them but is it really necessary?

You won't need the physical tickets unless there's a problem with your MBs. My bands worked great (I liked the whole idea behind them too) but there have certainly been reports of glitches.

And yes, the tickets will link right away.
