Everything is set for the last week of October,,, EXCEPT the flights….

Usually I have booked direct through the airline. Waiting a few days for SW flights to come out for Oct 31st.
Prefer Jet Blue 1st, SW 2nd. flying out of Providence….. looking for anything under $1400 RT for 4 Tickets.

Any Pros or Cons in using any of the many travel sites? Any recommendations?

Cant wait to get the flights behind me and then its just waiting for the fast pass window to open up….

Thanks

Steve

If you book through a site you don't own you reservation. So if you have to make any changes (or the airline makes changes) you have to go through the site which simply adds a layer. Search on the sites, book direct with the airline. Most if not all, have low price guarantees so if you find the same flights cheaper you can call and book and get the cheaper fare.

I would book directly with the airline. If you do have to change your flight it's a lot easier to change it direct with the airline rather than a travel site. It can get complicated with the travel site...

It's really unlikely that the sites will ultimately have a price that's better than booking directly. As Gracie said, search on the sites, book on the airline's website.

I've been frustrated in the past checking fares on a travel site only to find when I went to purchase the flight, the cost suddenly changed. So, I gave up on those for the most part. If I use them at all it's just to get an idea of what the fares are for different airlines and then I go to the airlines website to actually book it. We've been flying exclusively Alaska and JetBlue for the past 10 years, so I rarely take the time to look anywhere else.
