I came on the boards to double check this. I got an email this evening about booking the Hawaii and Pacific Ocean cruises. This new date will work so much better for me! (Federal holiday!)

Not good for me, I'll be out to sea on the Magic. What are my options? Can I go to future cruise desk on the ship and book? If so will I find myself in a long line?

The future cruise desk hasn't reopened. You can book on the website from the ship or have someone call for you. Perhaps get a travel agent to handle it?

Yeah, I wished they didn't change the date. I was all set to book on the 4th. Hopefully, the internet on the ship will be good enough to use for booking.

On a recent cruise I had an itinerary release while I was at sea and you could indeed use the DCL website for no internet charge to book the cruise and they also provided a sheet in your room the night before that explained how to call a special number for those aboard the ship. I wasn't booking a cruise during that release so I didn't go through the steps to see how it worked though. Be forewarned, using the DCL website to book anything while at sea is one of the most frustrating experiences. You have to deal with all the regular slowness and issues of the DCL website, and you have to deal with very slow internet. Depending on your itinerary maybe just wait till your near land and can use cell service if possible?

I received the email too. I took the day off from work to book on the 4th now I’m hoping I can get off to book on the 11th.

Are you saying that the future cruise desk on the ships is closed? My DD and SIL were able to book a cruise this past January while aboard the Fantasy.

They must have booked a “placeholder” which has the benefits of an OBB but not a specific date. The placeholder can be done through the app.

Yes, they did book a placeholder, but I believe they did that at the future cruise desk.

I would definitely get a TA. I love that I can just email her in advance and she deals with the feeding frenzy.
By the time I come home from work, I have an email confirmation. No stress. No hassle.
