It's very easy to book DLH. I've called MS to book once and I've used the on-line reservation request once. I booked the GC in June for a night in July and I booked a night at DLH for Oct a few months ahead.
I would book as soon as you're fairly certain of your dates.
Just call MS. Be sure you push the correct 'option' button on your telephone. I don't remember if it's '3' as for DVC, or different, so listen to the prompts.
MS will put you on hold for a short time as they call the DL resort directly and check availability. If the room is available they book it, then come back on line with you and give you the confirmation number.
They also give you the spiel that the points used are converted to 'reservation' points and are no longer DVC-points. If you cancel the reservation, points are returned to your account, but cannot be used to book a DVC resort vacation, but only book some other non-DVC resort.
Thanks, I was hoping to head out to California next June and wanted to spend a couple of nights at DL. I am going to add on some points in January and wanted to use my current points plus a few from the add on to reserve those nights. Thanks for the responses.
Hey Tammy.... so I guess we won't have lunch @ B&C this May??
You will enjoy DL, POC is great !! I liked the California Adventure park as well. Blue Bayou nice for dinner and the resort...awesome
Because the park is soo small, Fantasmic is a nightmare in a sardine can....just too many people...and I was solo!!!
I would suggest, if you can, get the "Fantasmic Dessert Package". You go upstairs, in Orleans Square, into a portion of Walt's apt.,and have desserts, watching Fantasmic, seated, from the balcony....a once in a life time fun thing. Watch all the people leave..then exit at your leisure
Thanks, that sounds like a great idea, I want to do that Fantasmic Dessert Package, sounds like a great end of the evening activity. We are planning on staying three nights at the DLH and then on to San Diego for a day at the beach, SeaWorld and the Wild Animal Park or Zoo, not sure which one.
