I just called and booked our rooms for our wedding, which is going to be in January 2011. I guess the 2011 rates aren't out yet, though, and the rates they quoted me were jaw-droppingly high. Has anyone else encountered this? Do the rates drop down to normal once they are released in August? I'm a little concerned because we're locked in, given the wedding. Or could we cancel the room and rebook under a discount code if one comes out later? Any insights? TIA!

Call back in August to see how the rates are and if it's a lot less then change the reservation and you can easily cancel and rebook if a offer comes available.

Yes, this happens every year. As Annie said, just book them now and then call back when the rates go down or a promotion comes out so you can rebook them.
