Hi! I'm wondering how easy it is to book remy once on board? I want to wait until we know what restaurant we're visiting twice so we get to go to each one with our kids.

Is this a terrible plan? Clearly this is our first cruise with Disney.

Thanks!

It really depends. How long is your cruise? Having a longer cruise means there is a higher chance for finding a day to go. Are you set on dinner or are you open to brunch? The fact that it sounds like you will be looking for a specific day makes it more possible that they may be full. That being said, there is just no way to know. Try to get a reservation when you get on board and if it is full, maybe have a backup plan or make sure to get on a waitlist. Best of luck!

Remy is more expensive/gourmet than Palo, so it's easier to get reservations.

I assume you're on a 4-night Dream cruise. Usually the restaurant you visit twice will be where you have Pirate Night, so I would just book Remy for Pirate night. Unless your pirate night plans with the kids won't leave time for dinner at Remy.

You will know the day you board as you receive your "Key" (the rotation is indicated on your key). Then you should be able to book as you board.

Remy is usually easier to book because it is more expensive...

I would give up ANY MDR night to go to Remy instead. If you are fine with the price (including the wine package which I highly recommend), there is no comparison at all. Well maybe except for Animators night in Animators Palette just because it is so fun.

i really, really want to go (and thanks for the wine package rec!) but i want to do all the restaurants with my kids if i can. although, knowing the dup is on Pirate's night (because the PP was right, it's a 4 night-er) i'm wondering what we should do.

do the kids clubs bring the kids to the party on Pirate's night? also, what night is Pirate's night?

and really, thank you for being so patient with my newbie questions. i really appreciate it!

Think about doing brunch instead! That way you can experience the adult dining and not miss a night with the kids. The clubs do not take the kids to the pirate night party and the night pirate night lands on depends on your itinerary and perhaps what time of year you are sailing.

Call them. We wanted to be in a certain restaurant for the 2 meals so we called and they arranged that for us. We went using our DVC points so I called member services and they called DCL, I guess.

They put a request on. Requests are never guaranteed, but Disney will try their best.
