How hard is it to book a reservation for Premier Season (Christmas and Easter) at the seven month mark?

More to the point, how about booking Standard View BWV for that timeframe?

I am currently an owner at BWV, but I am considering an add-on at AKV, and I am reluctant to do so if I won't be able to apply those AKV points to BWV at seven months.

I am really curious to hear from those who have had experiences with this in the past.

Thanks in advance!

It would be very, very, very rare (virtually impossible, even with waitlisting) for you to be able to book a standard view (of any size) at the BWV for Christmas & New Year's Holiday time if you have to book at the 7 month window.

It would be rare to get SV for either of the weeks surrounding Easter at 7 months. Maybe if you waitlist.

Keep in mind that there are almost always waitlists for SV & Boardwalk view units before the 7 month window even opens - no matter what time of the year it is. Premier season is very popular and lots of members are into saving points, especially because the views from those standard view units aren't all that bad.

I'd only add on at the AKV if I knew I wanted to try for Concierge or value rooms. IMHO, once the Kidani Building is completed, we'll have a decent chance of booking AKV at 7 months for most times of the year. Again, JMHO. YMMV.

What is your opinion on booking any of the other Disney DVC resorts at seven months in the premier season?

VWL & BCV difficult - these are smallest of the WDW DVC resorts. VWL is especially popular between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.

OKW - doable, except Grand Villas will be very difficult. That said, don't procrastinate. Call as soon as the 7 month window opens.

SSR - doable.

HHI & VB - no experience. -

Well I can tell you from last year and this years experience that if you do not call at 11 months for NYE, you will be on the waitlist. Even at SSR.

I think premier season you should pretty much bank on staying where you have the home resort advantage or using the waitlist. The way the waitlist is now, I'd rather borrow and make my reservation ASAP then wait.

It's true - even at the 11 month window, the SV is difficult to get at BWV for NYE. We called at exactly 11 months out and got 12/30, however, on the day we were to call for 12/31 we couldn't get thru until almost noon. All SV 2 Bedrooms were gone. We ended up switching to PV for the 3 nights we have booked (12/30, 12/31 & 1/1) and have been on a waitlist for the SV ever since the 11 month window.

In addition, we have not been able to pick-up the night of 1/2 and 1/3 in either a SV or PV. We're on the waitlist for those right now in a PV or SV.

If you want Prime Season in a SV at BWV, you definitely need to own enough points at that resort to reserve at exactly the 11 mo window.

Good Luck!:cheer2:
