Do you have to book Paradise Beach in Cozumel ahead, or just show up at the beach? Does it ever get full to capacity?

I live here, so if I can help with any suggestions, just let me know.

How many of you? How many children? What does your drem day at the beach include?

We went in 7/2009. You don't need a reservation. We caught a cab at the port to Paradise Beach -- cost about $12 each way. You can purchase for $10 armbands to go on the floating icebergs and such and we did -- DS couldn't get up on them so it was a bit of a waste. Next time, we would skip the armbands. A server came up to us and led us to beach chairs with a small table and umbrella. We were served some awesome drinks and had lunch here. Everything was very good. Food and drinks were average price -- I can't remember off the top of my head. Water was beautiful and warm although rocky in some spots. Restrooms were very clean. You can also rent jet skis or parasail. DH and DS did the parasailing -- I *think* it was maybe $80 each. They had a blast. There is a small gift type shop too. We just caught a cab back to the ship after we were done. It was a nice beach day. As for crowds -- it wasn't bad the day we were there but we did head out as soon as the ship docked and we may have been the only ship that day. I would recommend going early though. HTH :)

We've been there twice. Just take a cab from the dock. Clean, good beach. Good restrooms. Good, reasonable priced food. Have fun!

No need for reservations, very easy to do. Cabs are price regulated, and you pay by the cab, not by the person. It was about $15 for a cab (so above poster at $12 is probably exactly right). As above, admission to the beach is free. For $10 you get a wrist band that is good for all "non-motorized beach toys." Very easy to get a cab back to the dock area as well.

How is the cost of parasailing there compared with CC? Do you know if the length of time you are up is the same?

Is there an age restriction for the jetskis and do they fit 2 people?

Thanks for all of your replies.

They will charge for the use of chairs, and to use the ocean floats. There are additional charges for other things para sailing, jet skis et cetera.

But, depending on what you want to do with your day, there are other beach clubs... want fewer people and conch shells galore, go to Palancar Beach Club. Want to snorkel, go to Corona beach Club. Lotsa options.

The owner of this beach club is a friend, and I am not trying to push business one way or another. Just need to know what you want to do during your Cozumel Day, and I will give you an opinion.

Hate to see you make a choice on your one day without knowing about all of the options.

Lived here for more than a decade, just want you to love the place like I do!

(kinda like we all love the MK!)pirate:

we've been there several times and love it. The last time was last February and as of then, there was no mandatory entrance fee nor a fee for the chairs and umbrellas. They do however expect that you will purchase some food and beverages.
You can also pay the fee for the wrist bands which gives you use of the non motorized water toys like the floating mats and the iceberg climb. Para sailing and jet skis are an additional charge.

The parasailing is less than what DCL charges. It was only DH and DS on the boat so they got their gear on, went out and went up. They seemed to be up there for quite awhile. There was no one else sharing the boat with them so once they were done, they didn't have to wait for anyone else.

Sorry, I just glanced at the jet skis so I have no info there.
