I have been to Disney twice and have booked online both times. I read on another website that there is a difference between booking online and booking over the phone. The CRO vs WDTC I believe is the difference. I have had no problems booking online but was wondering if one is better than the other. :confused3

I don't think one is really better than the othre in terms of reliability. I believe you probably need to call if you are using a "Code' or maybe AA rates, though.

Calling requires (or did the last time i booked) only one night's rate to reserve the entire trip. They also have a much closer deadline to cancel and still get your money back, like 24 hours (or was it 3 days). As you probably remember the website requires payment in full and you can't get all your money back if you cancel less than 30 days out.

Essentially, CRO and WDTC are the same place. The difference is, if you book a room only, or a discount like AAA or AP rate, you have 5 days to cancel. They will require 1 night's stay at the time of booking. With the travel company, it's a little different because that would be where the full on packages are booked through. There (unless this has changed drastically in the past year and a half), if you book a package, they usually require a deposit of $200 and there is a 45 day cancellation policy. That would be where the travel insurance comes in. If you get the insurance, and you need to cancel or modify within the 45 days, it is usually covered. :teacher:
