Hello Disney Cruise enthusiasts,

I have a few questions for the veterans. Can you please share with me your priority when it is time for you to book onboard activities on the Disney Fantasy? What to you book first? What are the hot ticketed items, so to speak. Please give me a list.

Thank you.

We have done 5 Disney cruises. For us it is pretty much always: royal court tea, adult dining, and spa appointments—in that order. Then we poke around and look at shore excursions or other onboard add ons.

It depends on what you are interested in AND what is available when your booking window opens.

I am a solo cruiser and I do DIY in ports. My priorities are alcohol tastings and Palo brunch.

On both my cruises I was not able to book Palo brunch before my cruise. On both cruises I got Palo brunch for my first sea day by going to the dining team on embarkation day.

For the alcohol tastings I used the Personal Navigators on Disney Cruise Blog to research what may be available on my cruise. I then went to YouTube to see Vlogs from previous cruises. When my booking window opened I knew exactly which ones I wanted and went directly to them on The DCL app.

The Royal Gathering Princess Meet and Greet is popular. This is a free meet and greet with the Princesses in The Atrium which is booked before the cruise.

Depending on your itinerary, some port excursions are very popular and get booked up quickly before the cruise.

If you have children, The Royal Court Tea and Bibiddy Boppidy Boutique makeover appointments are popular.

Ah, you are the expert!

On your first disney cruise, you had to book 75 days out, yes? Were you able to get royal court royal tea?

How's spa appointments for new cruises? Possible? How about the rainforest room pass?

Thank you for the reply.

Ah, I see. I will be going with my family with kids.

By the way, how do you justify the cost of the cruise fare as a solo cruiser? Isn't it so expensive?

I have booked spa appointments on board several times, so I would guess that they can also be booked in advance. You might not get your preferred time, but there should be some spots, and if they aren't available in advance, you can check once on the ship.

My daughter was able to book a Rainforest Room pass once we were on the Dream a few weeks ago. Now that these passes are available online (which just started) they might fill up more quickly -- that should be easier to discern in a few weeks as people report what they're seeing.

I wouldn’t say I’m the expert compared to many here…but I do have a lot of experience booking as a first time guest and silver cruiser in the past 18 months.

On our first cruise we actually did the Wish, which has Olaf’s Royal Picnic (which I think is both vastly superior and much harder to book!) and it was not available when booking opened, but I checked back every single day for two months and eventually snagged a table for myself and my daughter. My husband and I were able to get a couples massage at 75 days but I think it was immediately after the safety drill— we actually now voluntarily select that time, but some may not like it because you miss sail away, the kids club isn’t open yet, and recently on the Magic, even though we walked straight there from the drill, they rushed us directly into the treatment room without changing in the locker room, etc, because the timing was right—but we did still get all 50m of our massage.

I’ve never tried to do rainforest room so I can’t comment on that.
