Hello all :wave2:

I've never posted on this particular board before but reading through the threads I recognise some names from the DLP boards :goodvibes - I'm hoping one of your lovely lot can help me. Next Easter we are going to WDW for the first time - we have booked a fly drive and are splitting our time with the Keys - Ive booked most of our Orlando stay at a Suite Hotel but are treating ourselves to one night in a Disney resort and we have decided on the ALK as we think our DS will love it there the most. Some very helpful Disers have pointed out that Club level is only about £30 more so we are going for that - the thing is I know with DLP alot of ppl book on "other" countries sites to get the best price. The dates I want (April 2012) aren't on the US site yet but are available in the UK site (£305 for the night- ouch!) in you opinion am I better to book now and not loose out or wait till the US prices come out and make a potential saving? Or can I not book through the US site anyway??

Thanks in advance! :goodvibes

I have looked into booking on the US site plenty times as there are times when the UK has better deals and times when the US site does. It depends on when you are going, where you are staying and how many people are in your party.

You can absolutely book on the US site. I have not booked with Disney US but in considering doing so I will give you some of the pros/cons and general considerations that went through my mind when weighing up what to do.

April dates will be available for booking on the US site by sometime in August.

You mention April but you didnt say whether you are going over Easter itself. If you are, there are not usually any promotions around that time as it is considered peak season. However that is not to say that no good offers will be released and my advice would be to keep checking.

Have a look on the Disney UK site (I haven't been on there for a while) and keep checking to see if any offers come up for your dates. If you book with Disney UK any promotions require your full stay to fall within the promotional dates. So if a 10% off discount of free dining ends on the 20th and you check out on the 21st, you can't add that discount to your package at all. With Disney US as long as you check in up to and including the last day of the promotion, you qualify to benefit from it for the full duration of your stay.

If you do go with Disney US, or look into it, phone them and ask if there are any promotions for your dates, once they release the prices for next year. They won't tell you upfront, but if you ask, there are some discounts to be had.

There are a few DISers here who have booked on the US site and hopefully you will get some feedback from them on their experience.

You must be so excited! April is a GREAT time to go! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I totally want to do this aswell, I was reading a thread the other day that had prices in which people have paid for their holidays and the promotions they have gotten through US sites, Im desperatly wanting to go either this October or next March on my 1st Adult only trip!
The Uk prices are pretty bad IMO at the moment a ive been thinking wether it would be better to book on a US site then get the cheapest flights i can....I wasnt sure if we could even do this so 2TIGGIES if you think we can this would be fab, I keep looking for threads based on people doing this but have had no luck :(

i've booked with disney US many times - but not online...i call up the US number and book by phone...

to check for discounts go to the www.mousesavers.com website...
they post the discount codes available at any particular time for bookings through disney US...
