When we sailed back in sept of 2004, we rebooked for the Magic to sail in nov of 2005. We got a great deal on cat9 room with the $200 on board credit. When we got back home ,I moved the booking to Dreams Unlimited, and we are saving over $600 with this booking. Not including the on board credit. The moral of this story, book early and find some one that will give you a good deal.

Hi 4formickey, That is interesting, We are planning to book a 7 day cruise when we are on our mini3 day. I thought that Disney would give us the best deal. We have never used a travel agent. Can you explain how you are able to rebook and still get all of your on board credit? Do you end up with a different room? I wondered if I should get a quote from Dreams Unlimited before going on the cruise and seeing what kind of deal I get from Disney then show them my other offer.Has anyone done this?

When you book onboard for a 7 day on board, they give 10% off plus a $200 room credit.They will also give you your room # at that time. When you get home you are allowed to move your trip over to the agent of your choice. This is the time to shop your rates. You can keep your room #a nd the on board credit pluse you will still get a lower rate than dcl is offering. If you book with out doing it onboard you will not get the $200 room credit. This $200 can be spent on anything onboard.

Well, when I asked for a quote from DU this week to transfer our reservation from DCL I was told that we could NOT keep our 200 room credit or 10% discount since they had a "group rate." Even with the rebate & 50 credit, DCL's final total was still less than DU's.

the differece must be the group rate.I wonder if this is new and what cruise are affected?
