Booking on board activities for linked reservation

Our friends are linked to our reservation, however because they are new to Disney cruise line, they were not able to book Remy dinner with us. To complicate matters, they will be unavailable to book their own Remy reservation when their booking window opens. My question is can we book their reservation on their behalf when their window opens since our reservations are linked.

My parents reservation is linked to mine and either of us is able to book dinners and activities for the other.

I found out today that I can book on their behalf, but can't cancel anything.

I booked champagne tasting for all of us a few weeks ago. Palo Brunch spots opened up so I went to book, but it was conflicting times with the tasting. Cancelled the tasting, but it only cancelled ours and not theirs, so I couldn't book brunch until they cancelled the tasting on their reservation.
