I know I can't book my Multi-Pass until 3 days before my visit--but does this go for the 'entire' trip----or do I have to book each individual day as it comes in that 3-day window??? We usually stay on-site, so kinda new to being off-site.

If you have date based tickets, yes. And if you do, choose the earliest start date for your tickets that covers the entire window of days that you want to go to the parks on to give yourself the best advantage possible.

We have AP's.......so I guess I'm day-to-day then?

We are two groups going together early next year, and we are going to link our reservations and groups so we can book multi-passes together. We are staying on property, one group arrives on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Our first park day is Monday. I know the group that arrives Saturday can book multi-pass 7 days before. However, am I correct that they won't be able to book for all of us, since the rest of us are checking in the next day? We will be 8 days out when they are 7 days out.

Correct they can't book for you just because your are linked in Friends and Family. If you are touring the parks together I would suggest have them book for their first day.

And then you work with them to book days when both groups are to book. Again only 1 person should book for a specific day so plan to split the overlapping days if more then 1 person is booking LLMP and/or LLSP.

Trying to match up LLMP and/or LLSP after the fact are not for the faint of heart. Does that make sense?

Thanks it does make sense. However they can book for their whole stay 7 days before arrival, correct? And agreed that we won't be able to match up LLMP after the fact. So we are holding them up for sure, but arriving a day later, and really we have to wait until we are both 7 days out to get our dates that are together, OR group 2 just needs to show up earlier. 🤣 It's always the solution to just go for longer....

Yes they can book for their entire stay of 7 days. But just to clarify this thread is about off-site guests booking LLMP and/or LLSP. Are both of your groups staying off-site or on-site? For 7 day advanced purchase you need to be on-site guests.

Also what type of tickets will you have?

Oops - my apologies you are correct this thread was about offsite, thanks for the catch! We are all staying ONsite, they just arrive a day earlier. We are getting 5 day tickets (not sure if doing hopper yet).

Then yes they can book for all of their days 7 days before their arrival date. What month are you going next year as 1 day may not really make any difference in availability of LLMP and/or LLSP for your friend's 7 day advance purchase vs just booking 1 day and then working with your group for the overlap days?

.....it's President's Day week. I understand that is a *very* busy week. If it helps, we are not going the weekend before Pres Day, when it's even busier from Valentine's on Friday and then a long weekend for many workers. We are going during the actual week, first park day is Monday. Do you think it will make a huge difference?

We are also staying off site and I have a 3 day hopper pass for dates valid Monday, 3/3-Friday 3/7. We plan on going to parks Wed-Friday. Can I start booking LL three days prior to Monday or do I need to wait until 3 days prior to Wednesday? We usually stay on- site so I'm confused.

You can book 3 days prior to Monday

If I am staying offsite and purchase a 10 day ticket, can I book LLMP for my entire 10 days three days before my first day?

Yes as long as it is a newer "Dated" ticket where you pick a start day when you purchase it.

What does newer dated mean? I haven't bought anything yet and I'm looking to go in April. I only need 8-9 days, but a 10 day is only $22 more. I'm thinking maybe it is worth $22 for the extra flexibility. If I buy the ticket to start the day I arrive, but don't actually go into a park until the next day, can I start booking LLMP 3 days before the day that I arrive (ie the start of the ticket) which is 4 days before I really want to use LLMP?

Exactly what you would be purchasing now as a new ticket (they are all dated now).

Yes. It counts as 3 days before the first day your ticket is valid for entry. Does that make sense?

Dave

If you buy an extra day on your ticket you can always use it to go into the parks (like Epcot) for dinner!

Are your park days 8-9 consecutive days? A 10-day ticket has a use window of 14 days from the start date. As long as all your park days fall into that 14-day period, set your “start date” as far in advance as possible. Then your 3-day LLMP booking is that much earlier.

Yes, that is what I was thinking. But we wouldn't use it for LLMP on that day. I just wanted to make sure that 1. We don't need to purchase LLMP for the entire 10 days of the tickets and 2. We can start using LLMP on any day that we want. Some of our days will be half days in the evening - more for dinner and shows and other days will be park days for the rides. Those are the days when we'll use LLMP.

Thank you. That is the cost to value ratio that I was trying to calculate. No, not all days will be park days. I will be at a conference for the first few days. My spouse may go to the parks solo while I'm at the conference. I may go in the evening, but am unsure what the conference has planned. The extra per day is not a lot and if we can knock out some of the evening entertainment in those first few days then it will make our park/ride days less tiresome.

Other than the 259 page thread, is there a good summary post for booking strategies?
In MK, I really only care about 4 LLMP rides - Space Mtn, Haunted Mansion, Monsters Inc and maybe Little Mermaid. The rest of the LLMP attractions we have at DLR so, if we get on them good. If we don't, no worries. Tron and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train we'll have to do LLSP.
In EPCOT, other than Soarin and Turtle Talk, I believe it is all unique compared to DLR
In DHS, we'll skip SWGE, MMRR, Midway Mania, and Star Tours are they are all identical to what we have at home.
