We will be traveling w/my son who is in the Navy and I know we can book two rooms w/his discount if need be but am I able to do the booking? He is actively working now and I will be doing all the planning but he will be there for our vacation. Does anyone know if this is a problem?

where? he will be required to show proof( His CAC) at some point.. at the very latest at check in, possibly within a few days after booking to guarantee the rate, as there are only a few rooms set aside for it at each resort and season

My DH is military and he has had NOTHING to do with the booking of our trip, and he likes it that way... :lmao: I do all the booking, planning, etc...They do not ask for any military verification when booking, but they will probably ask when we check in I presume...

I booked 2 rooms under the military discount for our trip next year. Me, Dh and 2 DD's will be in one room and my parents in another. My dad is retired military, so that's where the discount comes from.

I was able to do all the booking for my reservation and my parents, and linked them together. We are able to pay seperate too. My dad only needs to be present when we all check in, otherwise I won't be able to use his discount for our room. I believe you can book up to 3 rooms for each military person.

Hope this helps!

Ditto this! We used Small World Vacations to book ours.

Thankyou all,,we are looking to be there June and he will be there for check-in to show id..thanks for all your help!

We did a grand gathering at Poly in June. We had 3 rooms booked under my military discount. You have to call to book, can't do it on-line. All the rooms were paid for separately, using different credit cards, under different names, but linked together in the computer system for the discount. I drove with my kids, my mother, sister, and sister's family flew. I happened to arrive first and checked into one room. I was never asked for ID, they didn't even look at the reservation, other then to see how many people were going into the first room (to many kids for one room, I had to put 2 in the other rooms). When the rest of the party arrived I did not have to meet them at the desk. They were never asked for any information either, other then verifying who was in each room. This was our 3rd trip in 3 years, all with the military discount, and the cm's have never asked for military ID. One trip my mother and sister arrived before I did and were still able to check in without issue.
