Booking July 4th 7 Months Out

We are planning a family for vacation next summer June 29th-July 6th. I will be booking our home resort which is OKW 11 months out. We are a family of 6 and due to the number of points we’ll have we need to book two studios instead of a 2 bedroom. My teens would like to stay at Boardwalk, what’s the likelihood of us landing two studios (any view) at Boardwalk 7 months out during the July 4th week? I’m thinking slim to none! We do plan on attending EPCOT July 4th and I like the idea of walking back instead of bussing.

I'm curious about this, too. Are certain days more difficult to book than others around July 4th?

We were able to waitlist a pool view studio at BWV for last 4th of July (for 7/3 and 7/4) last year at the 7 month mark. The WL came through in just a few days. It was just for 2 nights and maybe we were super lucky but I don't think it is as hard as some other times of the year at that resort.

We went over our points, and now think we will have enough for a 2-bedroom standard view IF we purchased the 24 one-time points & did a split stay.
Do you think it would be easier to get a 2-bedroom standard view at BWV during July 4th, instead of two studios?

We really need more points!!!

If you are fine with Boardwalk pool/garden view, then be aware it has been open at 7 months out for the time you want for the last three years. Where you might possibly have an issue with pool/garden view is if your start date is late, such as July 3 or 4, because those with late June or earlier July start dates can fill those at 7 months out.

If you want standard or boardwalk view, probability is low and you should not plan on being able to get either of those, and a 2BR rather than studio makes no difference since all 2BRs at BWV are lock-offs meaning if studios are gone so are 2BRs.

That would be great! We will have enough points for two studios any view! I'll keep my fingers crossed when the time comes & keep shopping for more points!

For the easier 1BR BWV standard, I didn't have a problem. 7 months out for a July 4th weekday a few years back, in fact I wait listed to add on 2 more days, 2 months out and got those, too!

FWIW, BLT standard 1BR was not available on the 3rd and 4th 7 mo out (but was available the rest of the week)
