We are flying in a day early and really want to stay at the Hyatt at the airport. (so convenient and I think my DS5 will get a kick out of staying at the "airport")
Anyway, the prices are so high through Hyatt and even Expedia, etc. I am skeptical about using Priceline since you're not guaranteed the hotel you want but I was wondering if I may have a better chance getting the Hyatt since I am booking so early (for May '06).

Thanks for any input! :wave2:

My experience is that with Priceline, booking early is a disadvantage. They are not yet trying to unload rooms cheaply (they still have so long to sell them at a premium). My suggestion is to book a cancellable backup reservation somewhere (even at the Hyatt if you want) and keep trying. Remember w/Priceline there is NO WAY OF KNOWING which hotel they will give you. They could give you the Holiday Inn, Marriott, Renaissance, etc. when you really want the Hyatt. You will most likely end up somewhere else. Just my $0.02...

Go to biddingfortravel.com and/or betterbidding.com to see what hotels are coming up and what the rates are. The Hyatt is a priceline hotel.

I agree with staylor. These sites will give you an idea of what is being won, in which category and for what dates. Good luck.
