So this is my first time booking as a Castaway Cay member and I had no idea I could only book one stateroom (doh!). The plan is adjoining rooms, 1 for my mom and eldest daughter and 1 for me, DH and DD2. With that being said, if I book the second room with my husband's account (mom is not a Castaway Cay member yet with her first cruise next month) will there be a problem if that is not how we actually accommodate the room?

No problem with sleeping arrangements. However, your husband will have to report to that muster station (probably the same as yours but maybe not) and if your daughter is a minor, you'll have to do some paperwork for one of you to take her off the ship... very minor. Also, photo packages might be affected. Not sure.

Not at all, book one of you in each cabin and then once you’re on board you can just get extra keys made for the correct cabins.

Also, if you want the interior door that connects the cabins from the inside, you need to ask for connecting cabins. The term adjoining just means they are next to each other.

We booked 2 staterooms online. One with my husband as the lead and one with me as the lead. We made sure to pick rooms that have the connecting door. Once you book the rooms make sure you add the other reservation to your account so you are able to book excursions and make changes for both on the one account.

No problem at all. We are family of 6, so we've booked 2 cabins on every cruise we've been on. In 10+ cruises I've never actually stayed in the room I am officially booked in. The room I am officially booked in is used by our 2 teenage boys and I stay in our 2nd room with my wife and 2 youngest. Only minor detail is that you will have to go to guest services with your husband to get him a blank KTTW card that will give him access to "your" room. I've had trouble using the key card on the door if I've had both the blank and the normal KTTW card both in the same clear sleeve that goes on your lanyard. Solution is to ask for a second clear sleeve and just have 2 cards hanging on your lanyard. There was one cruise where they programmed my normal KTTW card to work on both doors but they either no longer do that or that was specific to whatever ship we were on for that cruise (can't remember which ship).

Is your eldest daughter a Castaway Club member? If so, then the room with your mom and daughter would also have that Castaway Club level. The Castaway Club member does not have to be the lead in the stateroom

Thanks everyone! Ended up having to call since my daughter is not old enough to have her own Disney account but everything is booked A-OK!
