Booking Grand Californian-WAITLISTED

Hello All,

I am trying to book a studio at the Villas at Disney's Grand Californian October 9-12 for my Honeymoon!

This happened to be Memorial Day weekend (Lucky me)

We own at Animal Kingdom...this will be our first trade... we were waitlisted... as we put in the request last night 2 weeks after the 7 month mark...

any comments? any advice? is there something more we can do? What are the chances we will book in?

Rather than just relying on the waitlist, keep checking on your own and grab any days that may become available. If you can, check frequently throughout the day. Is it possible to put in separate waitlists so that each one has fewer days? For what it's worth, last year I just missed the 7 month cutoff but my waitlist was for only two nights. It came through about a month later.

You should also ask for a DV c member cash discount rate and book that to secure a room now and cancel if the wait comes thru.

I think you mean Columbus Day weekend.

VGC is hard to get under 7 months. I would do as sechelt said, keep checking on line to see if any nights come up. They don't let you do separate waitlists for consecutive dates.

Definitely do this... check daily.

I need to try and get GCV in December and I've been stressing over it for months and I can't even book yet LOL

As they said, keep checking and see if you can piece it together- really that is probably your best bet. Many AZ schools have Fall Break that week which makes it a busy week in DL, so getting it one day here and there is the way to go.
