I'm booking for friends tomorrow at 7am. In the past I think I heard it was easier/better/more options if booking using a laptop or desktop computer.

Is this still the case (if it ever was)?

Have you booked recently using a tablet and did you have any problems? Going to try out the new way of booking tomorrow for a 2 day trip then will book for other friends and their 7 day trip in 2 weeks when their window opens up.

Thanks for any tips you can offer.

If the law of averages plays out and the Disney site behaves as it normally does, it will be down at 7 am

All right... on a serious note, either will work fine as long as the site is up. I have used an iPad and a laptop in the past and the experience is the same. Generally, I would suggest using a laptop and Google Chrome.

I had no problems using tablet. Once or twice I saw an error message, but just tried again and it worked.

Thanks @Mainemama and @hopeful4fl. I'm going to try the iPad first but have the laptop at the ready. I'm hoping the iPad works as I'll be booking FPs for my own trip in July when we are at the cottage. I'd hoping to just need to take the iPad and not the laptop so tomorrow will be a good test.

When my FP window opened, the website was not working and I had to book using MDE on my iPhone...it was nerve wrecking at the time, but worked great.

I booked using a combination of my desktop, laptop, and smartphone for this week's trip. Obviously the interface is a bit different on a smartphone, though it didn't cause a problem; it's just a matter of being familiar with the differences.

I only used my tablet for our July trip, and had no problems. I was using the website, not the app, btw.

Just a heads up, when we booked our FP+ (about 15 days ago) the website was down and non functioning, but I was able to book sporadically through the app. I would take both your iPod and laptop and have each ready both times you go to book. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.

Thanks everyone! I was easily able to book 2 days of FP ressies this morning in just 8 mins.

I used my iPad and went through IE to MyDisneyExperience.com and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps someone else!
