Booking FP+ when 3yo doesn't meet height req

I'm trying to decide which way to book fp+ when 1 person doesn't meet height requirements. If I give him the same pass as the rest of the family could I switch his later in the day when trying to get an 4th pass and it be the same as the rest of us? Should I give him a pass and have it scanned off even though he won't ride? Is that allowed? Would it be better to give him a different pass with another adult?

If you utilize Rider Swap, that frees up an adult to have a FP with the 3 year-old.

First set of riders FP the ride and show your too short son and receive a Rider Swap pass. At any time after they ride, 3 riders can enter the FP line with the Rider Swap pass.

We have the same situation. In MK we are giving him and an adult their own FPs for different rides when the older kids are on ht restricted rides (he's getting Buzz when the girls do Space Mtn). In AK, we are giving him FPs for rides he can't go on and they'll just be wasted. There aren't enough small kid attractions to give him something that are near the big kid rides and we wouldn't split up for shows. There may be a better way to handle that with rider swap but we have some other restrictions that make that difficult in our case (DH gets vertigo so no spinning rides for him).

Whoa--did not realize this could be done. Is there a way to remove my 4 year old and MIL from ToT FP+ and give them a different FP+ selection without removing them from all of our linked FP+s?

Use the MDE app and Modify > Change. Select the 2 people who need the change and proceed through all the steps.
