Booking FP+ at midnight on day 60? Worth it?

Hello! I think I may have answered my own question from reading some of the forums on here but I'll give it a go anyway. My 60 day window is coming up next Saturday. We are staying for 5 days, Dec 2-6. The only FP+ I really have a desired time for is Toy Story Mania which I want to get in the mid morning. The day we're planning on going to HS is 8am-9am extra magic hours and I do not want to have to get to HS at 7:30am for rope drop because tbh, there isn't much to do there anymore and we have lunch reservations at 12pm at Mama Melrose. So, to avoid having to get to HS super early, I'd like to increase my chances of getting a FP for TSM between the hours of 9am-12pm.

Is it worth it for me to be on my computer on my 60 day mark at midnight? I've heard different things but what has everyone's experience been?

If you want a SPECIFIC TIME to ride the most popular attraction at DHS, you MIGHT want to log on earlier rather than later.
Otherwise, you won't have any problems getting a TSM FP+ at some time that day if you wait a bit to book your FPs.

And,
:welcome: to the DISboards, KAL!

Robo's answer is spot-on, you will have no trouble getting TSM that far in advance, and will likely have no trouble getting it for a specific time. No need for a late night booking it.

If you haven't already, you may find the green link in my signature helpful.

Thanks! I will check out that link. Although I have no desire to stay up until midnight, the OCD/obsessive planner in me is thinking I just better do it, otherwise I'll have all these "what-ifs" if I don't book until early that morning (like 7am)

I would beg to differ with mesaboy and Robo. I had trouble getting TSM and 7 dwarfs mine train and I logged on right at midnight ET at my 60 day window. It may be due to the timing of our trip (wk before TGiving going into TGiving week), but if you really want to make sure you get your FPs I would be on there asap.

Thank you. I think its best that I just log in at midnight. I'll just have to have some coffee at 8pm... :) 7DMT is also a big one for us but since we're spending the entire day at MK (and will spend another half day there) and will be there for MVMCP, I am less concerned about the time.

If you want 7DMT at all, you do need to be on right at midnight. If you are lucky, you will get it the days you want, but you may not have a big choice of times. If you wait until morning, those will probably be gone.

As far as TSM, if you have a specific time that you want to ride it, midnight is also a good idea. When I have gotten on at midnight, I have always gotten TSM, but even then it wasn't available at all times and one time I had to put it, close to, but not at the time, I specifically wanted (I can't remember whether it was 30 minutes or an hour away from what I was looking for). The next morning, you most likely will still be able to get it for some point in the day, but your chosen time period may be gone.

I think you are making the right choice in staying up. Get on a few minutes before mid-night and hit refresh as the time gets close. Also remember, that it is eastern time. For us, I get on at 11:00 p.m. which is nice--- and while I am not a fan of FP+, at least that time is much nicer than having to get up at 4:50 a.m. to make ADRs

Thank you, this is very helpful. Glad to hear staying up until midnight (I am on the east coast) won't be without rewards (hopefully!)
