Just booked CHef Mickey for March! Wow- how excited am I??:cheer2:
Called today around 11:30am ET to see if I could book Chef Mickey for dinner on our first night. (March 19)
No problem! Had a very nice CM also.
She also told me to call at the beginning of Nov to check on the rest of the ADR I want, as they are "hoping" that they will be able to book earlier than the Nov 21 date currently set.(I think that was the date)

I can't believe how excited it made me to book that one thing! :yay:

I couldn't believe all the questions I had to answer first- is there a way to skip over them? (have you been to Disney before- have you been in the last 5 years etc)

Congratulations!

No known way to skip the questions. Unfortunately.

Regarding checking in early November, be sure to check back here late Oct/ early Nov. There are two awesome CM's who tend to tell us a day or two in advance of any Disney Dining changes.

I have two suggestions

1. Nicely tell the CM to please pass on to her managers that you HATE the questions.

2. Do what I plan to do from now on when not using my DVC membership. Get one of the Disney TAs to do my booking for me.

Yes, Disney that HORRID phone system is costing you MONEY. Instead of calling YOU to book my room I will contact a TA and they will book it, you then get to PAY them a commission!

I completely agree about that "voice thing" being so annoying! I almost wonder if they instituted that to try to cut back on people making multiple calls in one day hoping to catch a cancellation? If so, it worked on me. Really, it's that annoying.

Just keep hitting "1" -- that is the fastest way to get through.

By doing this, you are selecting the option that says you're already in Orlando or want to book a reservation for the coming week, but it doesn't matter. It works fine and avoids all the questions.

I do this every time because it really irritates me that I am calling on MY OWN NICKEL and have to PAY to answer Disney's demographic questions!
