Family members and I are interested in booking accommodations, using points, for several families, about a dozen people, for Jan 19 - 24, 2003 (Sun - Thurs) at BWV, not our home resort.

How difficult do you think this will be? Is there anything special going on at WDW during that time? We plan to start day by day ressies tomorrow. Any tips on how to proceed or info we should know?

If we don't get a day, should I book somewhere else and go to the waitlist? This is my understanding from what I've read here in the last couple of months. Thanks.

Unless you're counting on standard view rooms, I don't think you will have much of a problem. Even if you need to waitlist for some days, there's enough time for that strategy to work out for you.

As far as I know, there really isn't anything extraordinary happening for MLK. Expect the MK to be more crowded on Sunday & Monday as the local schools certainly have MLK Day off, and be prepared for anything as far as the weather goes.

Enjoy your trip!

I agree with Carol, you have enough time to get rooms at BWV since you will be in the 7 mo window. The SV will be harder to get because of BWV owners booking at 11 months. The only thing that could throw things off balance is if they are still refrubishing the SV rooms but hopefully they will be done by then. We have been at WDW over the MLK holiday and it is pretty crowded for the weekend and Mon but by Tues most of the crowds leave and its great!
