Booking Bounce Back

Another advantage is that if you want basic FD at the suites at the All Stars Music you can get it with the bounceback but not when it was offered to the general public. That is when happened to us. I looked on the first day and it was not available for the suites. So I was very glad I had booked it with the bounce back. ANd only had to buy a one day ticket instead of the two day.

Booking FD so early you have first choice in resort availability, plus knowing you already have your FD res in place (with $200 down and don't have to pay until 45 days prior) while everyone else is dying with speculation of if they will even offer it or not = eases a lot of people's FD anxiety.

Also last year the DISers who booked the FD BB reported they got the Basic DDP in Value resorts instead of the QSDP, so that was a plus too.

Yes you can upgrade your ticket as we have done this. But you have to wait until your last day. When they take the ticket to upgrade it and gave us a paper ticket for some reason they said it stops the free dining. Not sure why but that is what they told us. So we waited until the last day and on the way out of the park upgraded the ticket to an AP.

- If I have MYW tiks and book the bounce back, should I upgrade my tiks to APs while there since I am essentially planning my return? Can I upgrade my MYW tik to AP at any time during my stay?
I'm not sure of the correct answer here either but I believe the answer is yes! I also know that you can do what they call seperating you tickets from the package once you arrive and use them as single days as those who do use those as credit towards their AP's not positive on how that works either but im sure if you search these boards you will find your answer

Hmmm, this has me interested. What time frame has historically been offered for a BB from a December reservation? If I converted my tickets to annual passes in December 2010 - can I get 2011 tickets?

First: the Dec. bounceback will not necessarily be for free dining. More likely, the Sept - early Oct bouncebck will be for free dining. That has been the more historical free dining time frame. Dec is more likely to be a % off bounceback for selected times in 2011. ( Usually early in the year)

Second: you can upgrade a MYW ticket to an AP as long as the MYW ticket is still valid. By that I mean as long as you do it by your last day. The expiration will back date to the first day you used your MYW ticket. And it will be valid for 365 days from then. EX.: First use ticket Dec 1, 2010. Upgrade to AP Dec 6, 2010. AP expires Dec 1, 2011.

Hope I explained this OK & it's not confusng you more!:)

If you book a bounce back for next year and do not add the insurance at the time of booking can you add it later??:confused3

Yes, you can add insurance later. But you won't get any money back if you get it at first, then try to cancel it later. So if we are getting it, I add it later, after I'm sure we're going &I want insurance.

There has been free dining offered in December and this years offer was extended through December but if I remember correctly they did not recieve a Bounceback offer for Free Dining at all!( I believe that is due to the fact that it tends to be a busier time when the economy is right but since the economy has been down you have been seeing Free Dining Offered during this time for at least the past 2 yrs last yr I believe it was Disney Visa Customers and those that recieved a PIN CODE by email. ) Like those of us did that were in Disney August thru Very Early Oct like the first 2 or 3 days of Oct. which is also hurricane season Aug thru October.;)

On March 7th, 2010 while on property I booked a room only bounceback at All Star Sports for 12/9 to 12/13 at 20% discount. I just called x8844 from my room and asked what was offered for my travel dates.

Couple of questions for clarity

5- If I have MYW tiks and book the bounce back, should I upgrade my tiks to APs while there since I am essentially planning my return? Can I upgrade my MYW tik to AP at any time during my stay?

thanks

On this particular question, I believe there is one detail you need to be very much aware of. If you are going to upgrade your MYW to AP, they will only apply any remaining value on the MYW to the AP. So make sure if you are going to upgrade, have them take your park pass off of your MYW card and they will print actual park passes separately. Then go to CS before you enter parks and have them upgrade.

:)

This is not true (the section I bolded). You will get credit for the entire price of your ticket, no matter when you upgrade it (as long as it's within 14 days of the first use of the ticket). And if it's used, they will give you credit for current gate price of the ticket, even if it's older or you bought it at a discount.

The AP will be dated to begin as of the date of the first use. So if you first used the ticket on, for example, Sept 4 but it's now Sept 9, your AP will expire a year from Sept. 4.

Okay so I don't have to worry about seperating the ticket from MYW card? (this part confused me)

A little off topic but...
I already have my tickets from UCT. When I get to the hotel will they put the ticket onto the MYW card or do I have to do this at the park?
Do I get to keep the paper one (though it would be voided)?

If your tickets aren't already on your KTTK card (not MYW card - that's the ticket itself), don't put them on the card before you upgrade. That keeps things easy and clean. (You don't have to remove the tickets from your KTTK card, if they're there, before upgrading. Guest services, where you do the upgrade, will do it for you.)

If you want your UCT tickets on your KTTK card, go to the concierge desk at your resort and they'll do it for you.

It has been quite awhile since I ran into this. It may have been I had a non-expiring ticket that was more than 14 days active when they told me they would only apply remaining unused days.

It is good to know that they will just make it retroactive to day you started using it (within 14 days), that is a reasonable way to do it.
