Booking FD so early you have first choice in resort availability, plus knowing you already have your FD res in place (with $200 down and don't have to pay until 45 days prior) while everyone else is dying with speculation of if they will even offer it or not = eases a lot of people's FD anxiety.
Also last year the DISers who booked the FD BB reported they got the Basic DDP in Value resorts instead of the QSDP, so that was a plus too.

- If I have MYW tiks and book the bounce back, should I upgrade my tiks to APs while there since I am essentially planning my return? Can I upgrade my MYW tik to AP at any time during my stay?
I'm not sure of the correct answer here either but I believe the answer is yes! I also know that you can do what they call seperating you tickets from the package once you arrive and use them as single days as those who do use those as credit towards their AP's not positive on how that works either but im sure if you search these boards you will find your answer
Hmmm, this has me interested. What time frame has historically been offered for a BB from a December reservation? If I converted my tickets to annual passes in December 2010 - can I get 2011 tickets?
If you book a bounce back for next year and do not add the insurance at the time of booking can you add it later??![]()

Couple of questions for clarity

This is not true (the section I bolded). You will get credit for the entire price of your ticket, no matter when you upgrade it (as long as it's within 14 days of the first use of the ticket). And if it's used, they will give you credit for current gate price of the ticket, even if it's older or you bought it at a discount. On this particular question, I believe there is one detail you need to be very much aware of. If you are going to upgrade your MYW to AP, they will only apply any remaining value on the MYW to the AP. So make sure if you are going to upgrade, have them take your park pass off of your MYW card and they will print actual park passes separately. Then go to CS before you enter parks and have them upgrade.

The AP will be dated to begin as of the date of the first use. So if you first used the ticket on, for example, Sept 4 but it's now Sept 9, your AP will expire a year from Sept. 4.
If your tickets aren't already on your KTTK card (not MYW card - that's the ticket itself), don't put them on the card before you upgrade. That keeps things easy and clean. (You don't have to remove the tickets from your KTTK card, if they're there, before upgrading. Guest services, where you do the upgrade, will do it for you.)Okay so I don't have to worry about seperating the ticket from MYW card? (this part confused me)
A little off topic but...
I already have my tickets from UCT. When I get to the hotel will they put the ticket onto the MYW card or do I have to do this at the park?
Do I get to keep the paper one (though it would be voided)?
