I am thinking of booking All Star Music for 2010 when I am on holiday there in September this year, Am I right in saying you get it cheaper then when you book online with Disney and can you get free dining at ASM when booking overthere as the Americans do?

we had a bounceback offer when were were there last year it was around $150 a night at CSR

the problem with booking on the us site is the exchange rate, if it was good like $2/£1 then you can book on there but like now its around £1.40 so its not so good.

wow - i didnt know the american website offered free dining on value resorts. We prefere staying in POP because of the theming-even with the exchange rates the package is only £200 more, so £100 extra each for free dining. The only ticket options only go up to 10 days though - is there any way to increase this to 14? x x

The 14 day tickets are UK only so I think you'd have to buy 4 days separately from the US site which would most likely end up really expensive as the 14 day tickets are particularly good value. We found the UK site for 7 nights staying in a mod with free dining was cheaper than staying in a value and paying for the dining, though both options were cheaper than the same trips on the US site. We would have been happy to stay at a value but i'm not paying more than the mod price for it ;)

If you want to and have the means you buy only the number of tickets that free dining requires you to buy (is it 3 this year?), but still get the free dining for your entire stay. Then, don't use those tickets at all, but instead buy the 14 day passes from the UK and save the US tickets for a future trip. We just used our 1 day base tickets from i believe 2006 this past Dec. and it worked fine. However we never really need more than 10 day passes, as we always go to one party, plus 2 days at Universal/IOA and then there's Sea World, which we love :goodvibes.

hi

We're staying at All Star Movies this summer and have three reservations (first for four nights before free dining) then bookings from 17th -31st August and 31st - 10th September both with free dining booked via our wonderful agent from Dreams Unlimited. We have two bookings as one person is only staying to 31st August. You only need one day base tickets for each person but the maximum number of nights for each booking on free dining is 14.

This has cost us
270.21 dollars for four nights = 90.07 per night (three adults with AA discount)
1698.81 dollars for fourteen nights with free dining and three one day passes
1088.66 dollars for ten nights with free dining and two one day passes

We prefer the value resorts and booking via dreams enabled us to get the free dining which is not available on values with the UK site. Booking via Dreams also means that our planning agent will make all our ADR's for us.

Hope this helps:goodvibes
