Booking at 7 months

Has anyone had luck booking a studio at the Boardwalk or Beach Club at the 7 month window? If so, did you call in each day seperately? I was going to try and go during the Food and Wine Festival.

We be at BCV for 5 nights...July 29 - Aug. 3

DH called at exactly 7 months out & got it, no problem!
I just asked him & he said he did not call day by day - he only called once.

We don't mind going in the heat of summer because we're also going for 7 nights this May & 7 nights this Christmas!!

Just because it's larger, I think your chances are better at the BWV. I'll be trying to move a BWV boardwalk view studio ressie to VWL in October. I hope you get what you want, and me too!

I suspect you will have a tough time booking either at seven months during F&W. We had no problem at all booking a BCV studio for May at <6 months.

But F&W is a whole different animal. Good luck.

A while ago I was able to reserve BCV 11/9-11 at mbr cash discount. The F&W ends on the 11th. Im hoping at the 11mo to change my VWL 11/11-16 to BCV (or BWV).

We booked BWV 9/29 - 10/6 for F&W at the 7mos window. I did book day-day but it wasn't necessary. In fact I booked 3 studios(preferred view). Good Luck!

We will be finishing our 7 day land/sea vacation in October (Poly/ cruise) with three additional nights at BWV, hopefully!!! I booked my last three nights at SSR at the 11 month mark. But my plan was to switch to BWV ( if there were any openings). I called yesterday and today. I wanted BWV studio boardwalk view. They had BCV or BWV studio preferred or 1BR boardwalk view, so I took the 1br boardwalk view. I still have to call tomorrow for my last day. MS, seemed a little irritated that I am calling day by day, but they seem to be understanding about it. Wish me luck getting my last day or I have to switch ressies again because DH will NOT move another time on one vacation!!!!

Though I have not done it for F&W, I was successful getting two BCV studios for several nights during the Xmas holidays at the seven month mark by calling day by day.

we booked BW view studio 9 months out (for 9/29~10/7)
we've been waitlisted for the night of 10/7 for 2 months & are now within the 7 month window.
i'm still not worried tho, cos we have backup plans & "possibilities":
~ i have a 1bdrm standard booked for 10/7 (not fans of moving, but can deal with it ).
~ or we can come home a day early (that would not be my top pick)
~ or a cancellation still might come through (difficult during F&W, but not impossible)

standard or BW view will be difficult to get (close to impossible, cos there are existing waitlists for both), preferred view is possible.

Same here, We booked BCV 9/30 - 10/6 at 7 mons window, calling day by day with no problem. Actually i just added the last night 2 days ago.

We booked for Food and Wine at 7 months. We were not able to get a standard view at the Boardwalk but booking a studio was not a problem.
We did it day by day to be safe.
Now we are waiting to reserve at Le Cellier. I understand that it is one of the toughest dinner reservations to get.

I was able to book a preferred studio at BWV for the first week of Nov. 2006 at the 7 month mark. I did not call day by day, but I called exactly 7 months from the check out date. When I called, I was told there were no standard studios available from early Nov. through the end of f & w.

If you really want to be there for the F&W, I'd recommend using the standard booking tip... book a room at your home resort at 11 months for the dates you want. Then, call at 7 months and try to switch resorts. Go on the waiting list if you can't get it right away.

That way, if you don't get into BWV, you still have a room somewhere.

We will be staying at SSR from Nov. 28 - Dec. 7th. I am waiting for the seven month mark to see if we can get the first three nights at BCV or BWV. I would just like to stay at one of those resorts for a few days to try it out. I don't know if I will get it but I am going to try.
