Booking at 11 months question

O.K. I hope I'm not repeating and older thread I might have missed but I have a quick questions for the DVC experts. Let's say I really want a particular view at my home resort. I know you can do the day by day thing but let's say you really want to be sure. Lets say today was the eleven month window can I log on the members site at 12:01am and book a room with the view I want, just to be sure I get it or will that not work? What time does MS open and should you start calling the second they open or is all this just overkill?

There is no on-line reservation system in place for DVC. From the member site you can submit a reservation request but it's not immediate. If you want to make sure you get a certain booking category, call MS when they open at 9:00 am eastern time.

You can't book online at all.

Depending on when you want to go, you may want to book day by day. We do this for the early December trip as the value studios are sold out daily that time of year.

You can start calling 11 months to the check out day of your stay and link everything together. ( So lets say I want to book for Dec 7th, I can call 11 months out in Jan 8th ) For busy times, I would call first thing in the AM.

you can request online - but if you read further - it says it takes them sometimes 48 hours to even read your request.

if you really, really want something you need to call.

basically you are sending an email to ms.

The on line form is useless IMHO. Completed it last year for the first time and received an automated email response that someone from MS would contact me within 3 business days. At the end of the forth day with no call from MS I called and booked what I wanted in less than 10 minutes.

The only times that booking will guarantee a view is when you can book that view direction such as BW view at BWV. DVC no longer gives assignment priority based on when you booked.
