Booking Airtran through Disney Travel--seat ?

There's no turning back now...I just booked our plane tickets for Airtran through Disney Travel (BTW, saved almost $200!!! ) Anyhow, when I asked about seating I was given a number and told to check directly on Airtran's website in about a week and it would show our seat assignment. So, does anyone know if this mean that the total we paid for our tickets already included our $6 each for seats? I didn't really think about all this until after I got off the phone and hate to call back and be on hold when I figure someone here might already know. I just worry we won't be sitting together or that we will be at the back of the plane (I'm scared of the movement in the back of the plane).

well it all depends upon how fast the airtrans southwest merger goes thru

southwest bought airtrans out last year

the last time we flew airtrans we booked right thru them and not thru disney

Last Sept we purchased Airtran flights with our Disney package. Like you said - it was cheaper than purchasing direct!

I had to call Disney to get the Airtran Confirmation #. Once you have that #, you can go online at Airtran.com and verify, change, or purchase your seat assignments.

Thanks for the info! The CM went ahead and gave me the confirmation #, but said that I would have to wait 5-7 days, stating it took several days for the transaction to show. Hopefully, all works out okay!

When I booked through Disney, I was able to book my seats on the Airtran website the next afternoon (the CM told me to wait 24 hours for Airtran to update their system). I would be really surprised if you have to wait 5 days.
