Booking Adventures and Restaurants

We are sailing next February with a couple that has not been on a DCL before. When we book our port adventures, can we book for both parties at the 100 day mark, should we split with my family booking at 100, and the other family at 90, or should we all wait until 90? Similarly, with booking Palo or Remy, since I have 3 kids in my room, can we book a reservation for 4 at Palo at 100 days, or can you only book based on guests that are over 18, and we should wait until 90 days?

Is there an advantage to booking at 100 days, or is there not a real difference in availability like the one you would get as a gold member.

Are you Silver CC or Gold CC status? Gold online booking opens at 105 days and Silver online booking opens at 90 days, assuming you are paid-in-full by that point. New DCL cruisers are able to do online booking at 75 days prior, which typically coincides with the official PIF date as well. If you split the returning cruisers into both staterooms, then both staterooms will have the same Castaway Club status. If you are in one stateroom and your friends in a separate stateroom, they will need to wait and do online check-in and booking activities at 75 days.

You can only book Palo for the adults over age 18. I suggest you book on your online check-in date, and then have your friends try to book same/similar time once their window opens. You can go to Palo on embarkation day to get the 2 reservations "reconciled" together.

As for advantages -- it may depend how many CC members are on your particular cruise, what dining/activities/excursions are most popular, etc. It's possible for new cruisers to get closed out of some activities (particularly Palo brunch and very popular port excursions), but that doesn't always happen. Palo also holds some reservations back for booking onboard.
