Booking Additional FP After Prebooking Only 1

Went last year and had the whole FP thing down and now it seems things have changed!

I understand now you can book just 1 FP, that it won't force feed you a 2nd and 3rd. Is that correct? And I get that I could use that 1 FP and then book subsequent FPs at another park, using the app. Used to be I'd have to wait until I got to a kiosk in the second park, but I understand that has changed.

But here's my question--and I'm guessing the answer is no but I can't find it anywhere.

Parks that have tiers. Can I book just one advanced FP at HS, let's say Toy Story? Use that up so I'm basically clear of FPs now. Could I then book another tier 1 in the SAME park--say Great Movie Ride? I know I can't have them both at the same time, but will it let me do one at a time?

No. If you are staying in 1 park you must use your 2 Tier 2s or allow them to expire before booking a Tier 1 as your 4th of the day.
