We are Gold and traveling with family that is Silver. Last night I booked all of our activites but to my suprise i could see everyone that is linked to us. They were greyed out. One of the cabins is my in laws, and I will have to either sit with them and walk them through the booking part, or hopefully I can do it. For those of you out there that have to be the family travel agent like me. Do you log back into your account and then select activities and just add them on? Or would you log in as them and make sure you dont accidentally kick yourself out of something. The one main thing i am trying to get is everyone around the same time for a Palo brunch and charater breakfast. The system is different than the last time we booked so want to make sure i at least am stated in the right direction.

Because their booking window hasn't opened yet, they were grayed out. You can't select them. Once their window opens, you can either access the info via your reservation and then select them (assuming there's still space on the specific activity/excursion you've already booked). Or you can log in as them, and just book them on whatever activity/excursion you want (if it doesn't matter whether they are on the specific one you're on).

Sorry, I knew they would not be available to book, but surprised I could see them at all. Would you think it would be best if I log in as myself since I have everyones reservations linked to mine and book for both of the other cabins ehwn their time opens? I am not 100% sure if they are linked together seperately from mine linked to them. Or it may automatically link everybody each direction. (Just had this thought) so seeing what you smart folks think.

You can see them in your screen because your reservations are linked, which is why you'll all be seated at the same table (unless your traveling party is larger than like 10-12 people then you'll be at a few tables in the same section). If you can see everyone, just log in with your account. The thing is you'll still need to enter their passport information, all that stuff. You can put in fake numbers and correct it later.

For booking, it will be the exact same process that you just completed for your own gold status bookings. You'll navigate to the day and the activity, and then select the time and persons (which would be everyone not you). It would be easy if you already had a list of the excursions/activities you are booked for and the times to make it easy to cross reference with the rest of your group.

The webstie will usually warn you if you are going to make a change to an existing reservation.

The standard work around would have been to swap people so that a Gold was in both staterooms and then you could have booked at the same time. (Only drawback is that if you swapped your spouse for an in-law then your muster station would be with that in-law instead of your spouse; and you would have to have guest services adjust your room keys to reflect the room you are sleeping in instead of the room on your reservation.)

Just log in as yourself. Have a list of everything you have booked for the rest of you at hand, preferably in order of what is most important, with the day/date for each activity, b/c the site gives you no such list to refer to. After you log in, go to whichever day has the #1 most important activity. You won't be able to add people to activity reservations - only book a "new" reservation for the silvers. You may not get the exact same time (say, 9:15 was booked for the golds' character breakfast and only 9:00 or 9:30 is available now), but the CMs will seat you together anyway in that kind of situation, no worries.

When you finish that first activity, if you want to go to a different date - the fastest way is via the URL. You'll see that it has the date embedded in it. You can just change the date and hit enter. So much faster that way!

It's far, far easier to do this yourself than try to explain to others how to do all of this, if you already know what you're doing. And it would be really difficult to accidentally delete an activity you already have reserved, so I wouldn't worry about that. I'm the one who does all the fussy Disney bookings in my family too. The activity booking process could be so much simpler with a better site design, but oh well. It's not as maddening as FastPass+ when it first came out, at least.
