? Booking a rental now and changing it later..

Yea, I finally booked my airline tickets. Going to Tampa saved us $700.00

OK, so now I am booking a rental car. If I book it now and a better deal comes out later can I change it to the better deal?

It has been years and years since we rented a car, so I am not sure what is allowed and what isn't.

Dollar has the best rate for us so far, but if they come out with specials can I change my ressies?
