Booking a private Mixology?

We participated in one of three private mixology sessions that were set up for our Facebook group on the 5/3 Fantasy cruise. We had 25 people in each group. It was held in the Skyline bar. We had the opportunity to help make a raspberry mojito, bellini, Malibu Bay Breeze, Appletini, and a Baileys/Kahlua shot. The drinks were full size and strong. It was hands down the best $15 spent on the cruise. We had a blast and it was a great way to get to know people from our FB group! I highly recommend it!

What do you mean, "setting up a meet and greet location"???

We reserved the D-Lounge for a Meet & Greet (combined DISboards and Facebook groups). We had several hundred in our group and close to 100 in the lounge at one time. I had FE lists for anyone that forgot to print them and we handed out wristbands that we had made for our cruise. Kids got to meet each other. We met from 2:30 to 3:30 on embarkation day. The problem with trying to do it on embarkation day is that lots of folks are doing ship tours, spa raffles or the first (of many) DVC presentations. We just got back two days ago and I don't have the pictures uploaded yet or I'd post them.

I set up 6 private tasting sessions for our DIS meet/Facebook group on the WBPC cruise last month.

PP was correct that the hardest part is definitely rounding up everyone's info. :) The part with DCL was easy! I let Alma know about 3 months before we left that we were interested since it was such a long cruise and we wanted to do so many. At 2 months out I gave her the approximate lists so she knew how many people we had for each. I was told 25 minimum and 40 max. She gave me the most likely times and locations, but they weren't confirmed until about 2 weeks before we left.

We had a great time and did 2 mixology, champagne, martini, tequila, and wine. They were all held in Cadillac lounge with either Jesus or Mirja (sp?).

From our experience, the mixing type classes (mixology, martini, tequila) where common bar ingredients were used were charged only to those who showed up. The wine and champagne were charged to everyone who signed up regardless of whether they came or not because once they open the bottles they obviously can't sell them to someone else if they don't get used.

Our group of 8 did it. Called my TA and had it all billed to my suite. Don't remember what we paid. Very private and intimate.

Can you tell me where they held your class? And do you remember who you contacted, maybe shoreside concierge?

Can you take the drinks from the bar after the class is over? DH has been in a dry country for 3 years. He may not be able to handle 5 full drinks...:crazy2:

On our April 1st Wonder cruise, the ladies of the FB group had a private mixology in the Cadillac lounge. The organizer was concierge so she used the Shoreside concierge. It was a great time and there were no drinks left over!
