As anyone booked a private Mixology class? If so, when did you book it? What are the rules? How many people do you need to book one? Does everyone need to be there to book at the same time or can you just fill it up with people once it is booked?

There is a minimum number of guests that needs to be booked, but I can't recall what it was. You need the names and reservation numbers of everyone you are booking the class for. You can't just book a time and then tell them once onboard how many/who will be attending. It has to be totally set up in advance.

I believe you also need to supply your room numbers of all who are going. At least that is what the person who is doing our private one said.

And we won't know when it is, until about a week before the cruise. She is requesting a sea day, at 2 or 4 pm.

In the process of doing this right now
Minimum number of guests is 25 and the DCL rep said I would need to provide names and stateroom numbers (no mention of reservation numbers)
I believe the max number per session is 50
As PP says - they don't give you the exact time and location until very close to your sail date

I set up one last year. DCL requested room numbers but we opted to provide reservation numbers since we had a number of people waiting for room assignments and who wanted to upgrade at port.

I just set up a mixology session for our sailing 2/22.

After contacting DCL, I was asked to provide names of each person 21+ attending, along with their stateroom # or reservation #.

Names and #'s must be submitted at least 30-45 days prior to your cruise date.

Each person will be charged $15 regardless of showing up for the event.

Max per session is 30 people so we broke our group into 2.

DCL communicated with me about this via e-mail and phone conversations. Everything was finalized at 45 days out for us and I was given the location of where our mixology session would be held.

It's a super simple process with DCL, the hardest thing was getting everyones names & stateroom or ressie #!

Good luck and have fun!

Great info - thanks
I have a couple in our group who don't have their SR numbers yet so I will be sure to get their res number
Pleased to hear they gave you a confirmed time and location ahead of your cruise
Have fun!

What is the minimum number? On post says you have to 25 and another says 30 is too many. We don't have a big meet group yet but we might be able to round up 15 or so.

For our 2/22 cruise, I was told minimum 20, max 30 or split into two groups.

I called the DCL 800#, they took my name, phone & e-mail, then one of the events specialists contacted me to set it up. Easy peasy!

Perhaps it depends on the ship and itinerary you are sailing on as to the minimum number?
We were told minimum of 25 for a 7 night on The Fantasy

Our group of 8 did it. Called my TA and had it all billed to my suite. Don't remember what we paid. Very private and intimate.

I just called to inquire and book a private lesson and was told by DCL that they do not book private lessons and you would have to talk to guest services after you board the ship. What ship did you book the class and might I be able to get the person you were in contact with to see if I was just getting the run around. The rep said he even called a ship in port to ask them and the all said no private classes.

Who did you contact to get a mixology class setup at Disney Cruise Line?

I use them for setting up Meet & Greet location also.

Our Meet group is doing one on our Fantasy cruise at the end of March. Ours was capped at 40 people and will be held in the Tube. Our class is on 3/30 and it was confirmed by 2/25. We gave names and stateroom numbers.
