Here's a chance for all you experienced Disney Cruisers to really help someone out!

I would like to book a 7 night cruise for summer '06. Looking for recommendations of websites to visit to get the best deal! Do other websites let you pay over time or do you have to pay it all upfront? Id like to be able to pay it off in chunks between now and the time of the curise. Also, how are their refund policies, just in case?

Your help is invaluable to making our dream come true! :wizard:

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!

regardless of website they have to conform to DCL's policies. You have to pay a deposit up front and then have until 75-90 days before your sail date to pay the balance in full. And the refund policy is the same as DCL's -- 100% refund up to 75-90 days before your sail date, then a graduated refund percentage depending on how far out you cancel (I highly recommend travel insurance).

That is exactly what we need to do. We are cruising in July 2006 and we just booked about 1 week ago!! We actually booked with DreamsUnlimited because they were offering an instant rebate and we have used them in the past. Also once you make the deposit which is required by DCL of $250.00 pp then you can just log onto DU website whenever you want and send them a payment or you can wait until the final payment is due and pay in full then. We like the flexibility and like the feeling of spreading the payments out over time.

Good luck with your choice:)

Me and my family are cruising in July of 2006 to? We are on the July 29th Magic. When are you cruising?

I'd like to re-iterate what everyone else here is saying. You're going to have to pay a $250 PP deposit up front whoever you book through. After that, any TA will allow you to make periodic payments to lower your balance. DCL's refund policy is that they will refund any monies paid on the reservation up to 76 days in advance, after that time, you're then in DCL's penalty period and there is a graduated schedule to what amounts you'd forfeit after that time. We plan on booking the July 8, 2006 sailing when we're on board the July 9, 2005 West Coast sailing, so we might see you on board!!!

i checked Dreams Unlimited rates vs. Sams Club vs. Expedia vs. Disneycruise.com.

So far Expedia came in the lowest plus they give me a $50 shipboard credit PLUS i get 2% rebate back in my Upromise College account. That works out better for me in the long run.

DU's quote came in a little higher and only $75 rebate because of the amount I'm going to spend.

Another tip, BOOK EARLY!! Disneys pricing actually increases as more rooms are booked!!

Look at Allseasons Travel. Great prices & great customer service. http://www.allseastravel.com/

Don't try to save on the deposit & only book yourself & significant other. People have in the past just booked two people, then added any children later. A few people have been either not able to add them later or added at a much higher price recently.
