I am finally set to make my summer reservation in a cabin at Fort Wilderness. We are a family of four with two little boys under 5. Looking for any advice I need to know before making a ressie! Any help would be appreciated! Will probably be buying a disney dining plan out of convenience. Totally disappointed there is no free dining but I have a PIN for up to 35% off my stay. Hoping to have breakfast groceries delivered and get the Magic Your Way plus dining. How much is onsite golf cart rental?

Thanks!!

You don't want to stay at the cabins! There's woolyboogers there!

Seriously, the cabins are the best kept secret at WDW. Golf carts are about $60 per day. Get one.

I wouldn't recommend the dining plan if it's not free unless you plan on eating all meals other than breakfast at the parks or on property. We've had the dining plan both times (last year and in a month when we go again) thanks to the free promotion but I can say were it not free we would not get it since we stay in the cabins.

We love coming back to the cabin and having dinner at the end of the day (without cleanup - mousekeeping does that for you!) and taking it easy. We don't do it every night but always plan on grilling something at least once (yes, you need to provide your own charcoal). Nothing better than rocking the parks all day then sitting on the deck with a beer while the charcoal is lighting. Only thing you hear is the birds and the occasional bus.
