Booking 2013

Does anyone have a guess when DLR will start booking rooms for 2013. Do they open the whole year at once or on a rolling schedule a certain number of months ahead. We just enjoyed our last "off peak" trip last month. DD5 starts kindergarten in September. I'm leaning towards aiming for a weekday stay the second week in June 2013. It seems it might be a tad less crazy that visiting during a Christmas or spring break.

Really? I thought that non-DVC members couldn't rent points outside of a seven-month advance booking window.

Non-DVC members can only rent at the 7 month window, as it would be for a non-home resort. The exception might be ones that were exchanged through RCI or something like that.

You can rent from a VGC owner at 11 months.

I'm trying to figure out where the DVC reference came in??
It seems to me the OP is just asking when you can book regular DLR hotels for 2013, which according to previous threads is going to probably around June. I have not heard any comments referencing if they open the entire year at that point, but my guess is they do open all of 2013, not a rolling release.

Usually room rates and vacation packages for the next calendar year are released in June.

They don't change the underlying rates, but they do sometimes offer discounts off those rates.

Thanks everyone. I've considered buying DVC points from a member. The only thing that makes me nervous about it is that it is final. My plans usually don't change but booking 11 months out and not being able to change the reservation is scary. I found out about it too late this past trip. It would have saved us about $500.

I looked into this a couple months ago because I was wanting to price things for our vacation early next year. They also told me June.
