If you book 2 studios at the same time, will you get 2 studios next to each other or does this have to be requested? If it needs to be requested, how likely is it that you will get them together? Trying to decide between 2 studios or a 2-BR.

There are no studios next to each other. Studios connect to one bedroom villas. You could possibly be near each other but just as likely you might not.

If being near is really important better go with the 2 bedroom.

I agree with Sammie.

What resort are you considering? Some of them do not even have adjacent studios (next to each other, but no connecting door between them).

Getting studios near to each other is just a request. Depending on which rooms are being vacated on the day you check in, it may not be possible to grant the request. You could end up on different floors or even different buildings.

I know that cost is part of the decision, but do not underestimate the value of the jacuzzi tub, washer/dryer right in the unit and the fully equipped kitchen and the extra space. :)

There are some studios next to each other but they do not connect. It depends on the resort. It is a request and not guaranteed. I know BWV has several studios next to each other in the Village Green area. OKW on the other hand has very few studios next to each other, they are typically on the ends of the buildings.

They generally are close (varies with the resort) but cannot be guaranteed. We've had multiple studios (and other unit types) many times but always in conjunction with a 2 BR and never had a problem with location. There have been reports in the last few years about multiple rooms not being close to each other though.

VWL has studios next to each other, though not connecting. Some of them are at the very end of the hall, and some have a dumpster view.

If you want to keep your family together, you need a two bedroom villa. At VWL, BCV, BWV, SSR they sleep eight. At AKV (except for the value villas), BLT and OKW, they sleep nine.

The two bedroom will be more comfortable than 2 studios. As Carol said, having the living room, kitchen, W&D and jacuzzi tub are big plusses for the 2 bedroom, plus you're sure you'll be together, which 2 studios will not assure you.
