Booked within 180 days..now nowhere to eat

KEEP CALLING!! Especially call the day after final payment is due for your dates as many people will cancel and ADR's will open up.

I booked free dining for my friend and her family for September 6-13. I originally didn't get all the ADR's that I wanted for them. I called back last week (early Saturday morning) and was able to get everything and I was able to change some of my previously made ADR's to better times and to one table vs. being split into 2 tables.

I'm really surprised that you can't get in anywhere. I just brought our trip forward a couple of days last weekend,to take advantage of free dining and I had my pick of times for a party of two. We booked Sci-fi Diner, Tonys town square, Tokyo dining, San Angel Inn, Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch, Boma for breakfast and Boma, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Jiko for dinner with no issues at all.

I noticed some one mentioned the Cancel/transfer/trade ADR thread, but here's the link ADR Thread. I've had luck here - more so than Disney.

I called late for my June trip (aka under 3 weeks) and just said to the CM "I need to eat dinner in the MK June 29, what do you have?" And she gave me a few choices. And same with a character breakfast. I said "what character breakfasts do you have available on July 2 at about 9:30?" and she came back with 2 choices and I took one.

Keep calling. Friends of mine booked free dining late also and have been calling every few days and tweaking their ADRs by switching times or picking up cancellations. They seem to have had better luck by calling early AM on the weekends, if that means anything?

I wouldn't be surprised with the economy and rising fuel cost that a number of free dining get caceled. Exp for those people that drive thinking their saving of the food .. well the gas is likely wiping out any savings now.

I hope this doesn't come off wrong but we have also gone the past 2 free dining (end of August each time) and find that many of the nicer restaurants (2 TS) usually have availablity as most people don't want to spend money. We usually go to 1 or 2 TS and just OOP the others.

Worse case the GF staff should be able to get some some meals.
