We weren't going to book it to start with as trying to do a 'budget holiday'. But the thought of possible delays we thought it was worth it, you never know it could snow, it did last Dec!! :teeth: :teeth:

Juts got off the phone and checked our booking online and it is already there, very quick service :thumbsup2

Claire ;)

I have been thinking of doing this for our trip in October, as you say Claire the thought of possible delays. Think I will take a look at the website and check it out.

Been thinking about doing the same thing for next week & may still do this but todays flight times seem to show an improvement and if the Gatwick site is correct a Virgin flight to Orlando today took over 2 hours to get people boarded so I am not entirely sure how long we will get in the lounge.

(started boarding roughly 11.00am - flight took off 13.13).

Ive booked this for oct, for £35 I get drinks breakfast and a haircut, along with a nice atmosphere to relax in, well worth it I say!

If you dont want to splash out that much check out the Servisair lounge, you get drinks and snacks and a nice place to relax for about £17

Well the Servisair lounge is now full for the day I want - 25th August so it looks like many people have got the same idea.

Where are you looking to book? Some places only have a quota per day to sell so you may find avalibilty elsewhere, have you tried

Things MAY have changed since the current security measures, but NORMALLY they call passengers in th lounge as LATE as possible (the idea is that Business/First/Upper Class passengers can enjoy more time in the lounge and spend less time boarding or waiting for the plane to be ready to leave...). This is easier at an airline's OWN lounge (i.e. not the serviceair ones), because the lounge can be easily in direct contact with the Virgin staff at the gate. This has always been my experience.

I would GUESS that it would make even more sense for them to continue to to do this now: they will have less people hanging around the gates and will be "looking after" their Upper Class passengers. Obviously there is no guarantee that they will do that (with the new measures in place), but it would sure make sense to!

Just a thought... ;)

We always use the Clubhouse - I think considering what you get, it's a reasonable price.
